Cafe Ganges Review - October 2007

Summary

Located in Aylesbury Street, Fenny Stratford, with plenty of parking at the rear, the Cafe Ganges is also conveniently located next to a friendly, ‘old fashioned’ pub, the Bull and Butcher, in which to have a pre-curry beer.

It was very quiet for a Friday night, actually it couldn’t be quieter as we were the only ones in the restaurant, this was without us frightening anyone away ! This seemed strange as the food was very good and service was friendly and humourous.

One of the members had a fish dish, not the most common choice, Tawa Machli, which was very light and tasty with a delicate flavoured dressing.

Other Comments

Positive:

  • Very good pickles, in particular the lime, and poppodoms
  • A small restaurant but maybe the service and the food were all the better for it

Negative:

  • The 'veggies' came across as generally too sweet
