Purple Mango - May 2010

Summary

wpa16ca40f.jpg

A trip out to Walnut Tree, not too much curry restaurant choice in this area of Milton Keynes, hence maybe why it was quite busy. It could also be because it was a balmy night or maybe because there is a lively pub virtually next door. Unfortunately we don’t believe that it can be the quality of the restaurant as we had an unforgettable evening of poor service, bland food and ordinary atmosphere.

Do those restaurants that are so slow still believe that selling a few extra beers, maybe, by keeping you waiting, will not effect their reputation and their future trade. If so, then they are naive. This review and the score from the Curry Club reflects how we feel about the topic. There seemed to be plenty of waiters, although they were not very attentive, even when they had nothing to do. Were there not enough chefs in the kitchen?

The members comments below sum it up as the negative far outweigh the positive. We are unlikely to return for a few years to see if things have improved.

Common Curry - Very reasonable price but not good value for the money.

Summary - Overall, a disappointing experience.

No certificate awarded.

Web site - None
