Rajdhani Review - June 2011
When we arrived at the Rajdhani there were plenty of tables available, by 10 o’clock
we were the only ones in the restaurant. Is the recession biting that hard or is
the menu too expensive compared to elsewhere - compared to our last visit two years
ago, a bottle of beer was up 30p, vegetable side dishes were up 40p and most items
items were up at least 20p. This really adds up when there is a large group of you,
good job we had a voucher off their website for discount, keep an eye open for this,
unusual that it can be used on a Friday night.
The service was good, even though I had a poppodum dropped on my back that the waiter
didn't notice. You would, of course, expect this in a quiet restaurant.
The food, in general, was not top drawer, the lamb dishes were not tender and the
chicken dishes chewy - some overcooked.
Summary - Overall, a disappointment, considering it's at the expensive end of the
common curry. £4.95 for a bottle of beer is simply ridiculous.
Common Curry - At the expensive end, they must think the location can justify this?
We do not.
No certificate awarded.
